Role: Claims Service Representative, National Accounts - Full Time, Remote (Markham, Ontario)

Role Summary

Working with a team of people, you will provide administrative support services in claims creation and demonstrate a superior level of customer service. This role requires the flexibility to be available between the hours of 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM EST Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Claims Set Up: Claim creation in dedicated claims management system(s) as per account instructions.
  • Claims Set Up: Claim is triaged appropriately and assigned within target timeframe with 95% accuracy.
  • Claims Set Up: Participate on Email and/or Phone Queues.
  • Claims Set Up: Make initial contact.
  • Billing and Payment Processing: Files billed within specified time frame, as per account instructions.
  • Billing and Payment Processing: Payments issued accurately and as per account instruction.
  • Claims Support: Handle claims inquiries, including calls from insureds, third party insurers and vendors.
  • Claims Support: Provide assistance with data entry, notes, ordering police reports, lien searches and other claims related tasks.
  • Account Management Support: Proper handling of correspondence for National Account employees and maintaining a catalogue of electronic devices.
  • Account Management Support: Provide claim file management support in Claims Management System(s).
  • Account Management Support: Completing data integrity tasks and updates.
  • Account Management Support: Assisting with all other requests as directed from supervisor and National Accounts management team.
  • Other duties as may be required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Post-secondary education in administration, insurance or related fields is considered an asset.
  • Experience in an administrative support role, specifically in the insurance industry is considered an asset.
  • Experience working within a dynamic team.
  • Must have the aptitude and ability to learn new skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with reporting and data management is considered an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
