Job summary
A financial consultancy firm in São Paulo is seeking an experienced Acting CFO to oversee financial strategy and ensure compliance with regulations. You will manage relationships with investors and lead financial operations in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in finance, fluent in both Portuguese and English, and experience with Brazilian financial regulations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within the payment industry.
Qualifications
- Preferably experience in payments, banking, or fintech.
- Familiar with financial regulations (BACEN, COAF, tax laws).
- Experience in fundraising, licensing, or M&A.
Responsibilities
- Develop financial models, capital structure, and funding strategies.
- Ensure compliance with BCB capital and liquidity requirements.
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, and payment processors.
- Lead due diligence for acquisitions or mergers.
Skills
The Acting CFO will oversee financial strategy, regulatory capital requirements, and funding for the payment firm.
This role is critical in ensuring financial compliance, managing investor relations, and setting up scalable financial operations.
- Develop financial models, capital structure, and funding strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Brazilian Central Bank (BCB) capital and liquidity requirements.
- Oversee audit, tax, and financial reporting in line with local regulations.
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, and payment processors.
- Work closely with the Compliance Officer on AML / CFT and financial risk controls.
- Lead due diligence if acquiring / merging with a licensed firm.
- Years in finance, preferably in payments, banking, or fintech.
- Expertise in Brazilian financial regulations (BACEN, COAF, tax laws).
- Experience in fundraising, financial licensing, or M&A.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with payment economics.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (mandatory).
- Experience working in a multinational environment is a plus.
- Prefer that familiar with so called high-risk payment.
