The Finance Manager will oversee all financial, accounting, and tax functions for the Brazilian entity, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and corporate reporting standards. The role encompasses daily accounting operations, month-end and year-end closings, and statutory audits, while providing management with financial analysis, budgeting support, and strategic guidance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the maintenance of accurate financial reports and accounting records in line with corporate guidelines, corporate timelines and local statutory requirements.
  • Manage the full spectrum of the accounting functions, including accounts payables, accounts receivables, balance sheet schedules, general ledger maintenance, and cash flow management.
  • Manage closing processes and preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and analysis of financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and municipal tax obligations.
  • Manage tax incentives including PPB (Processo Produtivo Básico) and tax optimization opportunities ensuring compliance with Brazilian tax laws.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties (e.g. banks, external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate across departments in preparing and managing the OPEX budgets.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in internal accounting and financial operations efficiency.
  • Partner with business units to provide finance-related advice.
  • Coordinate with headquarters to align local reporting with group consolidation requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in finance and tax management, including 3+ years in an international setting.
  • Knowledge of Direct and Indirect tax.
  • Advanced analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, manage pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Prior experience in accounting firms is an added advantage.
