JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: QC Engineer

KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITIES / PERFORMANCE MEASURES

Responsible for managing a fabrication bay starting from receipt of production drawings, lot preparation of monthly/weekly schedules based on the shop monthly plan, job distribution among down-level reports, and workforce streamlining. This includes raw materials and production workflow, organizing the required resources, implementation of best fabrication practices for the improvement of safety, productivity, and quality, and coordination with all stakeholders on day-to-day issues, as well as progress reporting to meet the management objectives and project requirements.

JOB SUMMARY (Major functions of the position)

1. Plans and directs activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation utilizing knowledge in engineering fields such as chemical, electrical, or mechanical.
2. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
3. Establishes a program to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing measurement and analytical equipment and facilities.
4. Develops and implements methods and procedures for the disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
5. Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
6. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.

Requirements

• Minimum Experience of 3 Years in a Fabrication Industry making Process Equipment.
• MUST have knowledge and experience working with ASME and API Standards.
• Shop Floor QC Experience is a MUST.
• Visual Dimension NDT and Making Reports Experience is required.
• Must have Excellent Knowledge of MS Office.
• Knowledge of compiling QC Dossier.
• ANST Level II for NDT Certification.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Qualification:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Desired Professional / Exposure or Experience:

3 years of related experience and competency in computer software such as MS Office, MS Outlook is preferred.
