Emerging Merchandise Planner -- Forecast, Optimize & Analyze
Job summary
A leading retail organization in the UAE is looking for an Assistant Merchandise Planning Manager. This position involves developing financial and inventory plans, forecasting sales, and collaborating with various teams. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience in merchandise or financial planning. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like Excel are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in merchandise planning, financial planning, or retail analysis, preferably in fashion or multi-category retail.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficient in Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Planning function in developing accurate financial, sales, and inventory plans.
- Assist in forecasting sales, margin, markdown, and inventory requirements.
- Prepare weekly and monthly business performance reports including sales, margin, stock, and KPIs.
