POSITION SUMMARY
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines. Carry equipment such as tools and radios. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication standards. Display basic knowledge or ability to learn about air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance. Perform surface preparation, painting, drywall and trim repairs, light bulb and filter replacements, and cleanup of repair areas. Troubleshoot and repair various equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. Program TVs and manage inventory related to housekeeping and engineering. Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before maintenance. Repair landscaping and sprinkler systems. Demonstrate basic computer skills, including scheduling air handlers and adjusting temperatures.
Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training; and store flammable materials properly. Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect company assets, and ensure confidentiality. Provide excellent guest service by acknowledging guests, addressing needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Adhere to quality standards. Develop positive relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and respond to concerns appropriately. Communicate professionally. Lift objects up to 50 pounds independently; heavier tasks with assistance. Navigate stairs, ramps, ladders, and reach overhead or below knees. Use computers to locate work information. Perform other duties as assigned.
