Job summary
A progressive library organization in Musaffah is seeking a passionate Librarian to manage library resources. This role involves creating and maintaining library materials, organizing content, and assisting patrons. Ideal for motivated individuals, this position welcomes applicants with varying levels of experience. A degree in Library Sciences is a preference, but not mandatory. Competitive salary of 1800 AED offered.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and ability to take initiative and work independently.
- A degree or certification in Library Sciences is preferred but not required.
- Minimal work experience is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain an up-to-date library of books, media, documents, and other materials.
- Organize, catalog, and classify materials.
- Conduct reference interviews and assist patrons in locating materials.
- Provide guidance on the use of library services.
- Stay abreast of current trends in library resources and services.
