Job summary

A leading engineering company in the UAE is seeking a skilled Structural Steel Design Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in Structural Steel Design, particularly in Steel Connection Design. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure safe, efficient design solutions for complex projects. Proficiency in relevant software such as IdeaStatica and ETABS is essential. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects while ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of proven experience in Structural Steel Design & Steel Connection Design.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design of Steel Structures and Steel connections.
  • Technical coordination to obtain approvals for designs and shop drawings.
  • Review shop drawings and models for accuracy and constructability.
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve technical queries.
  • Prepare and verify design calculations, connection sketches, and technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project specifications.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication and erection stages.
  • Optimize design solutions for material efficiency.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Structural Steel Design, with specific expertise in Steel Connection Design. The role involves working closely with Consultants and Fabrication as well as Erection teams to develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural steel design and Connections solutions for complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and Design of Steel Structures and Steel connections Design in accordance with AISE & Euro Codes.
  • Technical Coordination and meetings with Consults until obtaining approvals for the Design/Connections Design Calculations and Shop Drawings
  • Review Shop drawings and models to ensure accuracy and constructability.
  • Collaborate with design, detailing, and fabrication teams to resolve technical queries.
  • Prepare and verify design calculations, connection sketches, and technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project specifications.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication and erection stages.
  • Optimize design solutions for material efficiency and constructability.
