Job summary
A leading free trade zone in the UAE is seeking a financial manager to partner with senior management on operational and strategic financial issues. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of finance experience, along with a bachelor's degree and CPA/CMA certification. This role involves overseeing budget management and ensuring financial record systems comply with GAAP.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
- Ten years of broad finance experience required.
- Excellent management of finance, accounting, budgeting, and reporting.

- Oversee long-term budget planning.
- Align financial management with planning and projections.

Education
Partner with the Senior Management on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations to them based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis. Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management. Engage the management of development to align financial management with short- and long-term financial planning and projections. Ensure that finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and monitor the use of all funds.
- Partner with senior management on operational and strategic issues; provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis, projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management.
- Engage development management to align financial management with short- and long-term financial planning and projections.
- Ensure finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with GAAP and monitor the use of all funds.
- University qualifications: A minimum of a BS. An MBA would be a plus.
- Other certifications: CPA/CMA
- Previous experience: At least 10 years of broad finance experience
- Specialist knowledge: Experience in gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Other Skills: Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting; strong analytical skills; effective communicator with strong oral and written skills
