Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is seeking a registered nurse to prepare clinical notes, administer medications, and counsel clients. Candidates should hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and have 2 to 5 years of experience. Registration and eligibility for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing are also required. Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of working experience as a registered nurse.
- Current valid registration in the country of training or last employment.
- Eligible for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare clinical and progress notes and coordinate services.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapies.
- Counsel clients and families regarding nursing needs.
- Maintain records of patient care and progress.
Skills
Education
- Prepares clinical and progress notes, coordinates services, work as liaison between treating physician and other personnel of changes in the client's condition and family members
- Counsels the clients and family in meeting nursing and related needs, participates in in-service programs, and supervises and teaches other nursing personnel
- Administering prescribed medications
- Monitoring intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies
- Caring for clients with Tracheostomy, gastrostomy and colostomy
- Carrying out nursing care to clients with Pacemaker, peritoneal dialysis, and clients on ventilator
- Delivering Nursing care of clients with hemiplegia, paraplegia, Bell\'s palsy, cerebral palsy, terminally ill, and elderly etc.
- Caring for newborn, pre and post-partum mothers
- Caring for clients with physically challenged and those who need special care at home or at their educational facility
- Delivering simple exercises, helping in ambulation and accompanying clients to social gathering, hospitals, other treatment facilities and outdoors
- Caring for the wound of the patient in order to prevent exacerbation of pressure ulcers
- Reporting and recording of medical events, procedures and other medical parameters
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems in order to report and discuss observations with a supervisor or case manager, or Medical Doctor.
- Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting to the treating physicians for the abnormal values
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing in home country
- Active Basic Life Support training
- 2 to 5 Years working experience as RN
- Current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment
- Eligible for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing
