Job summary
A leading engineering staffing provider is seeking a BARGE MASTER for a permanent position in Dubai. The role requires over 15 years of relevant experience, a strong HSE background, and certifications in safety and medical compliance. Responsibilities include monitoring rig conditions, ensuring load stability, and overseeing the movement of personnel and materials. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team in a dynamic offshore environment.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in the same capacity.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance.
- Valid OGUK approved Medical Certificate.
- Valid BOSIET Certificate.
- Valid STCW BST Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Monitor weather conditions and rig motions.
- Ensure accurate load distribution calculations.
- Supervise traffic of helicopters and supply boats.

Education
We are recruiting for a BARGE MASTER.
- The is permanent Employee/Staff position
- Rotation: 28/28
- Base Work Location: Dubai Petroleum owned jack-up rig
- 15+ years of experience in the same capacity.
- Strong HSE background and regulatory knowledge regarding the implementation and/or compliance with the various policies and standards.
- Marine Engineering degree or High School diploma. Work experience and demonstrated ability of oral and written communications may be substituted in lieu of formal education.
- Valid Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) approved Medical Certificate.
- Valid Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) Certificate.
- Valid Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers Basic Safety Training (STCW BST).
- Monitor the weather conditions and rig motions; inform OIM of conditions likely to affect drilling operations and seaworthiness of the rig.
- Ensure that accurate calculation of load distribution and weights for daily stability reports and lightship are maintained. Being able to perform stability calculations both manually and by using software.
- Coordinate all helicopter and supply boats traffic; supervise movement of materials and personnel to and from the rig
