Job summary

A luxury resort in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Health & Safety Officer. The ideal candidate will oversee all health and safety matters, conduct workplace inspections, and provide training on emergency procedures. You will work in a prestigious environment where luxurious standards and a strong commitment to guest experience are the priority. The position requires at least two years in a similar role at a five-star hotel, NEBOSH certification, and strong team management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a similar role within a five-star hotel, preferably in the UAE.
• Up-to-date first aid training (08 hrs including CPR).
• Can hold IOSH TECH membership.

Responsibilities

• Inform Quality Manager of all Health & Safety related matters.
• Liaise with Management personnel and assist with health and safety.
• Conduct inspections of workplaces to ensure compliance.
• Investigate workplace accidents and injuries.
• Train employees on emergency procedures and live fire drills.

Health & Safety Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality & Sustainability Officer to join Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island.

Job Responsibility

• Keeps the Quality Manager informed of all Health & Safety related matters.
• Liaises with Management personnel and all employees and assist with health and safety
• Liaises with local law enforcement and Fire & Safety officials
• Proper grooming at all times
• Attend training classes as per schedule
• Show fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments
• Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities
• Carries out inspections of workplaces and takes appropriate action to ensure compliance.
• Responds to and investigates concerns and complaints from workers/employers and takes appropriate action.
• Investigates accidents and injuries that occur in the workplace.
• Responsible for the establishment of and monitors the performance of workplace safety and health committees.
• May participate in the delivery of related educational programs and disseminates information to the public.
• Ensures all staff is thoroughly familiar with the Resorts emergency procedures and in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
• In case of high hazard area identified close the facility area/work and report to HOD GM and Security.
• Reviews Duty Manager/Night Manager book daily and takes corrective action when it is concerned.
• Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility
• Keeps updating the emergency manual with appropriate procedures and forms with the consultation of Quality Manager.
• To train existing employees and new comers on a regular basis with live fire drills.
• Conducts and executes skills/technical training within his/her area of responsibility on regular basis

Qualifications

• University Degree in related field.
