As the Middle East’s first dedicated carbon market investment group, we are building a leading global institution in voluntary and compliance carbon markets. We seek to unlock financing for natural capital by acting as a global decarbonization partner for corporates and as a local steward for nature and communities.

We are expanding our commercial trading team and are seeking a Carbon Sales Trader to join our Abu Dhabi office. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially driven professional to take an active role in scaling Offset8's trading activities.

As Carbon Sales Trader, you will originate, structure, and execute transactions across Offset8’s growing portfolio of Verified Carbon Credits (VCCs). You will build relationships with corporates, traders, brokers, exchanges, and financial intermediaries, while actively managing pricing, market intelligence, and client engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Originate and build a personal client relationships across corporates, trading houses, financial institutions, and brokers.
• Conduct daily outreach to generate leads via calls and in-person meetings.
• Drive commercial transactions across spot and forward carbon credit markets, from initial lead generation through to deal closing.
• Provide timely pricing indications, market intelligence, and trade ideas to both internal and external counterparties.
• Actively monitor global carbon market developments, policy changes, pricing dynamics, and transaction flows.
• Coordinate closely with Offset8’s investment, origination, and project development teams to align trading activities with portfolio supply.
• Represent Offset8 at key industry events, conferences, and client meetings globally.

Experience:

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in carbon markets, environmental commodities, or financial trading roles (voluntary carbon markets preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to originate clients, execute trades, and deliver revenue growth.
• Highly motivated self-starter with strong commercial instincts and proven sales skills.
• Strong cold-calling capability and ability to build relationships from first contact.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client management skills, with confidence to engage senior decision makers.
• Strong understanding of carbon markets, including voluntary and compliance markets, carbon pricing mechanisms, and market dynamics.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
