Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant cum Team Leader to support their financial operations across multiple countries in the Middle East. You will lead a team of accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate must have a degree in Accounting/Finance, at least 8 years of experience in multinational environments, and strong knowledge of multi-currency reporting. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, fluency in English, and may include travel.

Job Title: Financial Accountant cum Team Leader
Location: UAE (Middle East coverage)
Department: Finance

Via Medica International Healthcare is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team.
Job Summary:
Deliver accurate financial reporting with strong internal controls ensuring compliance with regulatory and group requirements. Support the UAE CFO in achieving strategic goals and KPI targets. Oversee a team of accountants and contribute to financial operations across multiple countries in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Lead accurate booking and reconciliation of Trade/Non-Trade Payables AR and Intercompany transactions

  • Process payments with zero double-payment tolerance

  • Manage month‑end closing ensuring timely and accurate financial/non‑financial reporting (e.g. CCT Cash RF WC CAPEX GP)

  • Maintain the integrity and completeness of financial records per GAAP and group policies

  • Perform BS reconciliations, fixed‑assets payroll entries and intercompany recharge documentation

  • Monitor invoice postings, deferred revenue accruals prepayments and IFRS16 journal entries

  • Handle tax provision posting and coordination for filings

  • Lead year‑end close and ensure timely production of audited accounts

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Liaise with internal departments for data coordination and financial submissions

  • Support internal/external audit queries and tax reporting

  • Collaborate with FP&A Treasury and Working Capital teams

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum 8 years accounting experience in multinational/global environments

  • Strong knowledge of multi‑currency multi‑country reporting

  • Experience with SUN and/or Oracle is a plus

  • Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage pressure and lead effectively

  • Fluent in English; willing to travel if needed
