The Category Manager role in Marketplace business will be responsible for the total P&L, setting the strategy for driving growth, creating strong partnerships with key selling partners/Brands, adding new selection, managing category profitability, optimizing business inputs and outputs, and delivering our vision for our customer experience for select categories within Consumables business. This includes identifying potential brands/partners, building direct relationships, building comprehensive business plans, and driving sales and margin improvements. The right candidate stays on top of market segment and competitive trends, and is able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales, and margin growth. In addition, the Sr Category Manager must be an effective leader and communicator internally and externally, spanning external and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills are musts. Ideal candidate for the role must be excellent problem solver, great at identifying potential obstacles, implementing quick work-around solutions, and Inventing and Simplifying tasks to scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Build a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines
- Develop and lead weekly, monthly, and annual business reviews and sales planning processes.
- Establish and lead implementation of category learnings, insight and business strategies, driving prioritization and mitigation of risks substantiated and balanced by sound business/market rationale and thought leadership.

MENA AMPS (Amazon Marketplace Professional Services or ASP360) supports Selling Partners (SPs) with paid account management services and enhances both CX and SPX via a suite of unified offerings. We aim to be the preferred choice for SPs during their Amazon journey to expand and optimize their businesses.

- 5+ years of experience in ecommerce, P&L ownership, sales or business management experience
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, or related field
