Design Engineer jobs in United Arab Emirates

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret HVAC design drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
• Prepare and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for HVAC systems.
• Supervise site activities related to HVAC installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth workflow.
• Perform site inspections to verify progress and quality of HVAC works.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of HVAC materials and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and relevant UAE/local codes and regulations.
• Assist in quantity takeoffs, project planning, and resource allocation.
• Prepare progress reports, snag lists, and documentation for project closeout and handover.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC systems, preferably with contracting companies in the UAE/GCC.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with HVAC design software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment selection, ductwork, chilled water systems, ventilation systems, and controls.
• Experience in site coordination and resolving MEP conflicts.
• Excellent communication, technical reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be locally available in the UAE and able to join immediately.
