Job summary

A leading electrical engineering firm seeks a Design Senior Engineer to lead the design and development of substation electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of substation design engineering experience and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. Responsibilities include design oversight, compliance with standards, and coordination with clients. The position is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in substation design engineering.
• Preferred certifications include Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent registration.
• Understanding of utility standards such as DEWA, ADDC, TRANSCO, SEC, or TAQA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of substation electrical systems.
• Review and approve detailed design deliverables.
• Perform design calculations for cable selection and load flow analysis.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local standards.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams to resolve technical issues.
• Provide support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
