Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in ophthalmic or operating theatre nursing, along with a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Nursing. Responsibilities include educating patients on care post-surgery, preparing the operating theatre, and ensuring compliance with patient safety protocols. The Ophthalmic OT Nurse will be responsible for assisting in ophthalmic surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
- Preparing the ophthalmic operating theatre and surgical instruments.
- Assisting ophthalmologists during procedures such as cataract, LASIK and retinal surgeries.
- Monitoring patient vitals and recovery post-operation.
- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Educating patients on pre- and post-operative care.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
