PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The purpose of the Electrical BIM Modeler is to ensure the accurate and efficient design coordination and documentation of electrical systems in building and infrastructure projects through Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. This role plays a critical part in the project's success by facilitating collaboration, enhancing design quality, and ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and manage detailed electrical BIM models using software like Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop accurate 3D models for electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, low-voltage, and ELV systems.
• Ensure all models comply with relevant design standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, mechanical engineers, and structural engineers to resolve design conflicts.
• Conduct clash detection using tools like Navisworks and resolve identified issues.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and contribute to achieving integrated project delivery goals.
• Produce detailed shop drawings, schematics, and layouts for electrical systems based on BIM models.
• Ensure proper documentation and updating of As-Built models as required.
• Adhere to local and international standards such as DEWA, ADDC, and SEC requirements in the GCC.
• Maintain quality and accuracy in all BIM deliverables.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in BIM modeling, preferably in the UAE or other GCC countries.
• Prior experience with design consulting firms in the Middle East is a must.
• Proficiency in BIM tools, especially Revit and Navisworks.
• Solid understanding of electrical design principles and systems.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations and requirements in the GCC.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
