Xenia Pharmaceutical - Production Supervisor Job Description
Xenia Pharmaceutical is a contract manufacturer specializing in the development and manufacturing of animal health and wellness products, including farm feeds, stock remedies, and veterinary medicines.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and high-quality manufacture of our products within an ISO and FSSC V6 environment.
About the role:
As a Production Supervisor, you will lead and support production teams in achieving daily output targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
You will be responsible for coordinating resources, monitoring workflow, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Control systems, and company policies.
Job Details:
- Type: Permanent
- Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 07h00 to 17h00; Friday: 07h00 to 13h00
- Salary: Qualification and experience dependent
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations across designated production areas to ensure schedules are met safely and efficiently.
- Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to production staff, promoting a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with QC systems, SOPs, and all applicable regulatory standards.
- Monitor production performance, investigate deviations, and support root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Supply Chain to maintain seamless production flow.
- Lead and document line clearance, batch changeovers, and cleaning processes.
- Drive operational excellence initiatives, including lean manufacturing and waste reduction strategies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and support staff training and development.
Requirements:
- Degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Science, or a qualification and/or background in a quality management operation.
- Strong working knowledge of QC principles is beneficial.
- Ability to lead, develop, and motivate production teams in a fast-paced, compliance-driven setting.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the business.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a high level of attention to detail and operational discipline.
