Overview

We’re looking for a results-driven Universal Banker with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing sales strategies, and providing exceptional customer service. The role involves taking demand from Personal Prestige and Private Banking clients for banking matters ranging from product questions to client account activities (e.g. opening of relevant accounts, statements, debit order information, etc.), forming an accurate assessment and understanding of that demand, and acting on it in a one-and-done manner that consistently delivers what matters to the client within product and legislative (e.g. FAIS) parameters.

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth and execute sales strategies to exceed targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service for Personal Prestige and Private Banking clients.
  • Understand client demand across product questions and account activities; act decisively within product and FAIS regulatory parameters.
Qualifications
  • National Certificate in Banking (NQF5 FAIS-recognized qualification or above) demonstrating a solid foundation in banking practices, financial services, and industry standards.
Required Experience
  • 3-5 years experience in banking or financial services with a focus on FAIS qualifications and financial advisory roles.
  • Proven and strong sales background consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets through cross-selling and upselling of banking products (e.g. loans, credit cards, mortgages, savings and investment solutions).
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business, building a robust sales pipeline, and driving revenue growth in a branch banking or contact centre environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking operations including account management, transaction processing, and client relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, policies, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
