Test Manager
Role Summary

As part of our overall investment and growth strategy in the UK we are hiring Tester Managers to join our team.

  • You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all testing activities within a project or programme.
  • You will ensure that the product developed / services delivered meets quality standards and business requirements before release.
  • You will collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to define test strategies, manage resources, and deliver high-quality products on time.
  • Over time you’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of assignments across a broad portfolio of client from many sectors e.g., Public Sector, Health, Finance, Energy, Transport, Retail, and Manufacturing.
  • You’ll thrive using agile methods and enjoy working collaboratively with business units and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement the overall test strategy for the project.
  • Develop detailed test plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Identify test objectives, scope, and success criteria.
  • Lead and mentor a team of testers (manual and automation).
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Facilitate training and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Oversee execution across the lifecycle e.g. functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure proper defect tracking and resolution.
  • Prepare and present test progress reports, metrics, and quality dashboards to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify potential quality risks and propose mitigations
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Attributes:
  • 6+ years practical experience within Quality Assurance (Testing) with at least 2 years as a Test Manager
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies (e.g. Unit Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing) and the wider delivery methodologies.
  • Practical experience with test management tools (E.g. Jira, HP QC/ ALM)
  • Experience with automation testing tools e.g. Selenium
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations if required
  • Eligibility for UK secure clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Attributes:
  • ITSQB Advance Test Manager or equivalent certification
  • Experience of public cloud and DevOps environments
  • Knowledge of software development languages
