Job summary

A leading educational company is seeking a proactive Legal Administrator to join their Legal Team in Centurion. The ideal candidate should have strong organisational skills, a paralegal qualification, and 2–3 years of experience in a law firm or corporate environment. Duties include managing legal documents, assisting with audit preparations, drafting contracts, and providing support to the legal team.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or corporate legal environment.
  • Capable of managing confidential information with discretion.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Organise, maintain, and archive legal documents both digitally and physically.
  • Ensure information is backed up and stored according to company procedures.
  • Assist with audit preparation and compile necessary documentation.
  • Manage the ticketing system and ensure effective stakeholder updates.
  • Draft and review contracts and NDAs.

Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Paralegal qualification
  • LLB qualification (advantageous)
  • 2–3 years post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or corporate legal environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
Duties
  • Organise, maintain, and archive legal documents both digitally and physically.
  • Ensure information is backed up and stored in accordance with company procedures.
  • Provide timely access upon request.
  • Assist with audit preparation.
  • Compile necessary documentation and maintain accurate B-BBEE records.
  • Manage the ticketing system, track queries, and ensure effective stakeholder updates and resolutions.
  • Draft and review contracts and NDAs.
  • Liaise with departments to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Support tracking and documentation of compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Serve as the liaison for legal queries, ensuring clear and effective communication across teams.
  • Provide legal research, administrative assistance, and general support to the legal team.

This position is based in Centurion.
