Technical Sales Rep (Mining) job vacancy in Pretoria.
Our Client is hiring a motivated and dedicated Technical Sales Representative to serve their customers in the Western Limb.
This ideal candidate should be a self-driven problem-solver, committed to providing exceptional customer service while building long-term partnerships.
This role requires both technical aptitude and a service-oriented mindset, ensuring that customers receive meaningful solutions tailored to their operational challenges.
Based out of: Pretoria, Brits, Rustenburg (to be a resident of these areas).
Head office: East Rand, Gauteng.

- Portable drilling & bolting equipment
- Stressing & tensioning equipment
- Battery powered equipment
- Smart Pull Testers
- Product Training – on site
- Mock Mine Training (East Rand)
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the National Sales Manager.
- Able to Identify, develop, and manage new and existing customer relationships in the mining sector.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance to customers, especially in underground mining and roof support applications.
- Deliver solutions-based sales, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and met.
- Conduct underground visits, inspections, and demonstrations to understand operational challenges and propose solutions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, quotations, and proposals to prospective customers.
- Achieve sales targets and grow market share within the assigned region.
- Provide regular feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Work closely with engineering and support teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
Requirements:
- Education: Engineering diploma or degree in Mining, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or Rock Engineering (preferred).
- Previous experience in underground mining, particularly in roof support, is highly beneficial.
- Proven track record in technical sales or customer-facing roles in the mining or related industries.
- Established relationships with mining personnel, rock engineers and mine management.
