Technical Sales Manager
Responsibilities
- Strategically plan routes and customer visits to identify, secure, and grow business opportunities.
- Liaise with production teams and CD&D to ensure efficient deliveries and manage customer expectations.
- Provide in‑field technical and commercial support to customers, ensuring service excellence.
- Build and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline and ensure accurate updates in Salesforce.
- Onboard and implement new business opportunities effectively and efficiently.
- Establish and strengthen strategic relationships at multiple levels within customer organizations.
- Apply consultative selling techniques to enhance ADM's competitiveness.
- Develop tailored project solutions for both new and existing customers.
- Conduct thorough research to identify new market and project opportunities.
- Collaborate across departments to maintain strong interdepartmental relationships and operational alignment.
- Lead the sales and marketing of ADM's specialty nutrition and feed solutions.
- Engage with suppliers, producers, feed millers, consulting nutritionists, and other key stakeholders in the feed industry.
- Stay informed on independent research, market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Take over and manage a portfolio of existing ADM customers while developing new accounts.
- Recruit, develop, and manage channel partners, serving as their trusted technical and commercial advisor.
- Ensure customer commitments are clearly communicated to operations teams and that all business setup processes are properly implemented.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date sales and pipeline information in Salesforce.
- Collaborate with marketing and CD&D teams to stay current on product innovations and market positioning.
- Translate complex technical data and product information into clear, value‑driven customer benefits.
- Retain and grow key accounts through proactive support, anticipating client needs, and maximizing long‑term value.
- Execute all duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Promote continuous improvement and positive change through collaboration and influence.
- Monitor market dynamics to ensure ADM maintains a competitive advantage in the industry.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a BSc in Agriculture (Animal Science preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in the feed or related agribusiness sector.
- Proven technical sales or business development background is highly advantageous.
- Multi‑species expertise is a significant advantage.
- Good understanding of premix production processes and quality standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
- Ownership mentality with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
- Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce experience preferred) and general computer literacy.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to ADM's long‑term success.
