Introduction

We are recruiting for a Technical Draughtsman with experience in electrical, solar, and battery storage systems to join a leading energy solutions company based in Centurion. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong AutoCAD skills and a proven background in technical design.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate technical drawings for solar, battery storage, and electrical projects

• Collaborate with engineers and project managers on design specifications

• Conduct site visits and use real-world data to generate drawings

• Maintain version control and drawing documentation standards

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and client-specific technical requirements

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Technical Draughtsman

• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit advantageous)

• Prior experience with electrical layouts, solar energy, and/or battery storage systems

• Fluent in Afrikaans and English

• Own transport and valid driver’s licence

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Relevant drafting qualification or certification preferred

Advantageous:

• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM

• Understanding of SANS standards and energy compliance frameworks
