  • BSc Food Science, ND Food Technology, BTech Food Technology, BTech Production Technology or related qualification and a minimum 10 years’ experience in product development / application in the food and beverage industry. Valid driver’s license and own vehicle required.
  • Location : PaarlDescription : An ingredient manufacturer in the Food and Beverage Industry is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) – Beverages to join their team. The TAM role involves directly interacting with customers, mainly focusing on all technically related topics with regards to the production and filling of final B2C products. This also includes support during production trials, filling and troubleshooting, both during and after production. The TAM role can be seen as an interface between Sales and Application, R&D and the BU’s regarding product selection for opportunities, as well as project control in respect of new developments and application. The duties will include, but are not limited to, processing projects in collaboration with Application & Sales and continuous project management; providing support with recipe formulation and filling technology; being an integral part of the team for all customer projects as required; driving product solutions along the different LtO-stages in close collaboration with Sales; delivering suitable product solutions in line with the given requirements; being the central point of contact for all technical production / processing concerns from the customers, i.e., handling technical issues in the production of B2C product at the customer site; supporting selected customers with trials and approvals and taking part in customer visits in collaboration with Sales; addressing technical problems on product and production-related problems and simplifying processes at the customer’s premises; defining technical recommendations of action following an appropriate analysis of the customer’s production challenges; ensuring an optimum exchange of information within the division and with the interfaces; documenting efficient and effective processes in the company’s internal IT systems; compiling production guidelines and mixing recommendations at the customer’s request; providing active support in case of internal and external complaints concerning issues in site production in collaboration with Quality; supporting business unit service & solutions in the co-packer and bottling network; preparing & conducting internal and external training sessions in collaboration with technical, sales, and other functions; data management; and reporting.Key Requirements : BSc Food Science, ND or BTech in Food Technology, BTech in Production Technology, or related qualification and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a product development, application, or production position in the Food and Beverage Industry with a focus on Beverages is required. A valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle as well as a willingness to taste a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are required.Additional Requirements : The ideal candidate should have knowledge of the legislation of beverages across the Sub-Saharan terrain.
