Team Leader - SA Treaty Broker Support

Aon Re Africa is looking to employ a Team Leader within our SA Treaty team, this is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our head office in Sandton.

The role of a Team Leader entails spearheading the management of end-to-end administrative processes, ensuring seamless placement of reinsurance business while energizing a team committed to excellence. Your responsibilities will include producing, reviewing, and quality-checking renewal documentation with precision, coordinating vital transactional activities, and maintaining thorough compliance with regulatory standards.

What the day will look like
  • Leading the production and review of reinsurance documentation, ensuring standardized processes are followed across all outputs.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards, with a focus on embedding best practices throughout operational procedures.
  • Supporting brokers in client engagements and market submissions, providing guidance to maintain consistency and quality in all interactions.
  • Managing workflow and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, while driving operational efficiencies to optimize team performance.
  • Facilitating communication between internal teams and external clients to promote seamless collaboration and information flow.
  • Contributing to business development and process improvement initiatives, actively seeking opportunities to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
  • Delivering accurate client statistics on a quarterly basis, ensuring timely and precise reporting for all clients to support strategic decision-making.
  • Implementing and overseeing training programs for the team to develop professional growth, ensure alignment with industry standards, and enhance overall team capabilities.

  • Grade 12 (matric).
  • An appropriate NQF level 4 FAIS /short-term insurance qualification.
  • Be FAIS compliant in commercial lines short-term insurance.
  • Preferably a relevant bachelor’s degree in insurance and risk management.
  • First level regulatory examination for representatives.
Knowledge
  • Digital literacy with sophisticated experience in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Strong attention to detail.
