Overview

An excellent opportunity has become available for experienced Team Leaders to join a well-established mining operation on a month-to-month contract basis. This role is ideal for strong leaders with hands-on underground experience who are passionate about safety productivity and team performance.

Requirements

• Team Leader / Blasting Assistant Certificate (essential).
• Standard 8 (Grade 10) qualification or higher.
• Competent A Certificate (mandatory).
• Proven underground mining experience in:
• Shotcrete applications
• Mesh and lacing
• Barring operations
• Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety teamwork and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate underground mining activities to ensure safe efficient operations.
• Lead, motivate and guide teams to meet daily production and quality targets.
• Conduct pre-shift safety meetings and enforce compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
• Oversee the correct application of shotcrete, mesh, lacing and barring processes.
• Perform barring operations to ensure workplace stability and safety.
• Carry out workplace inspections and report unsafe conditions or faulty equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used and safety incidents.
