An established and rapidly expanding international business is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of its end-to-end global supply chain. Based at their Cape Town Northern Suburbs head office. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a strategic leader with deep export, international logistics, and people management experience, who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for designing, managing, and optimising the global supply chain, including procurement, international logistics, warehousing, inventory, demand planning, and distribution. The role focuses on operational excellence, cost efficiency, scalability, and full regulatory compliance across multiple regions.
Develop and implement a global supply chain strategy to support rapid international expansion.
Build scalable processes, policies, controls, and reporting frameworks.
Drive automation, digitalisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with finance, operations, sales, and international partners.
Manage procurement from local and international suppliers.
Develop supplier scorecards and manage performance, pricing, and lead times.
Negotiate commercial terms to optimise cost, quality, and supply continuity.
Ensure supplier compliance with quality, regulatory, and contractual standards.
Oversee all import, export, and cross-trade logistics across multiple markets.
Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
Ensure full compliance with customs and trade regulations, including HS codes, Incoterms®, VAT, EORI, APN, and shipping documentation.
Optimise routing, consolidation, and freight costs while maintaining service levels.
Lead global inventory planning and stock control to balance availability and working capital.
Implement accurate forecasting, demand planning, and replenishment processes.
Oversee warehousing operations, stock accuracy, and distribution standards.
Manage reverse logistics processes where applicable.
Maintain accurate landed-cost models and supply chain dashboards.
Define, track, and report KPIs across procurement, logistics, and inventory.
Utilise supply chain systems such as Zoho Inventory and trade management software.
Analyse cost variances, lead-time trends, and service performance metrics.
Act as the central point of contact between suppliers, logistics partners, internal teams, and customers.
Coordinate supply chain activities across multiple time zones.
Proactively manage risks, delays, and disruptions with clear communication and solutions.
