Introduction
Our SOE client is looking to appoint TWO skilled professional contract workers (Temporary Contract Employees) for the SCM CLERK: ASSETS AND WAREHOUSE SERVICES for a period of 12 months on a month-to-month basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Asset and Warehouse Management
- Management of assets processes
- Interaction with internal and external stakeholders regarding movement of assets and ensuring necessary documentation of forms are completed
- Update and maintain asset register, ensure quarterly/annual stock take and disposal of assets
- Facilitate and coordinate timely bar‑coding of assets
- Maintenance and safeguarding of assets
- Conduct quarterly spot checks and annual asset verification
- Report all loss of assets
- Ensure timely reporting to the National Department and resolve discrepancies of assets
- Perform any other assigned duties in relation to the implementation of the SCM system of the Department
- Ensure compliance and implement SCM policies, delegation of authorities, treasury regulations and standard operating procedures
- Manage activities within a warehouse by ensuring inventory control and accountability
- Ensure biannual stock taking and theoretical stock balances performed monthly
- Ensure replenishment of stock in line with procurement regulations
- Identify redundant and obsolete stock
- Collect and receive goods from suppliers
- Issuing of stock to different section
- Updating of BIN and TALLY cards, ensure efficient counts and submission of reports thereof
- Dealing with auxiliary service within the Department
