Job summary

A leading automotive company based in Cape Town is seeking a Stock Controller. The successful candidate will manage vehicle stock transactions, ensuring all vehicles are inspected for damages and that required tools are present. Applicants should have a Matric qualification and over 3 years of stock control experience in the automotive industry. Skills in advanced Excel and familiarity with Autoline/Drive systems are preferred. This role is pivotal for maintaining operational efficiency in stock management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as a stock controller in the automotive retail industry.

Responsibilities

• Check all vehicles for damages/scratches/dents.
• Ensure VIN numbers match delivery notes.
• Ensure all spare keys and tools are in the vehicle.
• Record any damages or missing tools in a delivery note.
• Lock all keys away in a key safe.
• Split spare keys upon receipt of vehicle.
• Carry out proper reconciliation.
• Reconciliation signed by MA and departmental manager.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering stock control support in order to process vehicle stock transactions accurately and timeously through the execution of predefined work objectives as per agreed standard operating procedures.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

• All vehicles are to be checked for any damages / scratches/ dents
• Ensure vin no's agree to delivery note
• Ensure spare keys, spare tyre, lighters, tools are in vehicle
• Record all damages, tools/spare tyre, lighter not received on delivery note.
• All keys to be locked away in key safe.
• Spare keys to be split on receipt of vehicle
• Proper reconciliation to be carried out
• Reconciliation may be signed by MA and departmental manager

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric qualification
• 3+ years' experience as a stock controller in the automotive retail industry
• Autoline/ Drive system experience preferable
