Job description
Job Function

To provide expertise and advice to support for the development of operational implementation plans and associated service delivery processes, methods and techniques, and to design, test, configure, install, monitor, diagnose and maintain business applications according to user requirements and service level agreements, enabling the optimal functioning of business systems, contributing to client / customer satisfaction.

Key Performance Areas
  • Install, maintain, configure and optimise business applications (DriveCam and Fatigue Monitoring).
  • Manage In-cab telematics installations, de-installations, uptime and reporting.
  • Monitor and report on application performance.
  • Perform upgrades on implemented systems.
  • Resolve ICT user requests.
  • Support user acceptance testing.
  • User training and support of SaaS applications.
  • Risk and Incident investigations.
  • Provide expertise in assessing the gap between the current state and desired future direction and established effective ways for closing the gap in own area of accountability.
  • Provide advice and support in the analysis, development and implementation of best practice in area of specialisation.
  • Obtain, analyse and report on business performance and identify initiatives that will improve business results.
  • Provide value added practice improvements, initiatives and services to deliver on organisational objectives.
  • Drive and participate in forums that positively contribute to functional knowledge improvement.
  • Own and live up to the company values.
  • Provide advice to prevent and reduce financial wastage in the relevant business area.
  • Compile training and solution documentation.
  • Provide functional technology support to end users in compliance with service level agreements.
  • Provide progress feedback and reporting to project management.
  • Translate user requirements into functional system requirements.
  • Compile business and system requirement specifications for integration between technology solution modules.
  • Design, configure, test and implement modular integration in technology solutions.
  • Document and present change requests to the change approval board.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders that contributes to a culture of customer service excellence.
Qualifications Required
  • Degree (NQF Level 7).
  • Honours degree (NQF Level 8) will be advantageous.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Up to 8 years of experience with at least 5 years operational leadership or specialist experience in a telematics driven environment.
  • Proficient reporting and interpretation knowledge and / or skill.
  • Proficient service management processes knowledge and / or skill.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
