Social Media and Video Content Assistant

A successful UK-based property investment company is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and creative part-time Social Media and Video Content Assistant with strong CapCut experience to support social media growth and short-form video content production. This is a fully remote, flexible, independent contracting role requiring approximately 4-10 hours per month, with potential to grow into regular content batching once established.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working creatively, optimising content for social media, and helping a business grow its online presence. You’ll be part of a creative, digitally savvy team where your editing skills and social media know-how directly contribute to measurable growth.

Responsibilities
  • Edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels/Ads, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Edit long-form video content as required.
  • Organise and manage video and image assets from Google Drive.
  • Convert professional footage supplied by a photographer/videographer into ad-ready, platform-specific content.
  • Optimise hooks, pacing, and engagement to increase reach and retention.
  • Repurpose existing content creatively (splicing clips, combining footage, refreshing older videos).
  • Collaborate with the client to ensure content aligns with platform-specific growth strategies.
  • Confident use of CapCut for video editing.
  • Support minor content scheduling or posting as required.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and engagement strategies.
  • Confident repurposing content for multiple platforms.
  • Experience creating content designed for organic reach and paid ads.
  • Up-to-date with social media trends, hooks, and content optimisation techniques.
  • CapCut proficiency is essential; experience with other editing tools an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Fully set up home office with reliable internet and power backup.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bonus: experience with YouTube, self-filming setups, or content strategy.
