Job summary

A leading equipment management company based in Gauteng is seeking a Health and Safety Manager. You will ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, audit sites, and maintain safety standards. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in health and safety management, a Grade 12 certificate, and SAMTRAC or equivalent certification. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in health and safety management.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Grade 12 Driver's licence – Code B.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees understand health and safety legislation.
• Ensure a safe work environment compliant with legislation.
• Investigate and report on work-related injuries and accidents.
• Audit sites and prepare the MARSH Stars report.
• Maintain Contamination standards.
• Conduct on-site appraisals of safety and security standards.

Key Outputs

• Ensure all BWE employees in area of responsibility fully understand the requirements of existing health and safety legislation
• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment that complies with health and safety legislation
• Investigate and report on all work-related injuries and vehicle road accidents
• Audit relevant BWE sites and prepare the MARSH Stars report
• Maintain / Control Contamination standards for area of responsibility
• Conduct regular on-site appraisals of premises and housekeeping, electrical, mechanical and personal safeguards, fire protection and security standards

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Grade 12 Driver's licence – Code B
