The SHEQ Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management systems to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
This full-time role is on-site and located in Pretoria.
Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments and audits, developing SHEQ policies and procedures, overseeing incident investigations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and promoting a culture of safety and quality through training and engagement.
The SHEQ Officer will play a critical role in fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
Strong knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management systems and regulatory compliance
Experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
Ability to develop, implement, and monitor SHEQ policies, procedures, and training programs
Proficient in data collection, reporting, and analysis related to SHEQ metrics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging teams and promoting SHEQ culture
Relevant qualifications, such as a degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or a similar environment is advantageous
Proficiency in relevant software or tools to manage compliance and reporting
