Job description

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join their Midrand. This is an important role that combines technical expertise, customer service, and business support. The successful candidate will be responsible for installations, service, and maintenance of equipment, while also ensuring strong customer relationships and contributing to overall branch growth.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and review installation requests, requisition and collect equipment.
  • Install equipment at customer premises, ensuring Proof of Delivery and Loan Agreements are signed.
  • Conduct routine service calls, scheduled maintenance, and attend to emergency callouts promptly.
  • Service and maintain equipment to company standards, arranging repairs when necessary.
  • Complete and submit accurate Service Reports.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers to strengthen relationships.
  • Identify customer needs, recommend solutions, and liaise with Telesales for order placement.
  • Perform product demonstrations and update customers on new products, promotions, and pricing.
  • Prepare and submit weekly work plans, keeping customer records updated in the system.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, providing feedback to management.
  • Foster strong internal communication and collaboration between departments.
  • Perform any additional duties reasonably expected of the role.
Qualifications
