Infinity Services Partner Company is a Managed Services Business wholly owned by and a fully-fledged subsidiary of Vodacom.
The Senior Specialist in Governance & Compliance is responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory, legal, and privacy requirements while managing governance and procurement compliance.
The role consolidates responsibilities for compliance monitoring, legal risk management, privacy protection, due diligence, and procurement governance to support ethical and transparent business operations. Additionally, the role provides legal advisory services, including contract management, litigation support, and risk analysis to safeguard the organisation's interests.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks and governance policies.
- Monitor adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and reporting.
- Provide training and advice on compliance-related matters.
- Enforce compliance with laws, regulations, policies, rules, codes, and industry standards.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure an integrated approach to legal and policy compliance management.
- Review and manage contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.
- Guide on legal risks and obligations; advise on terms, risks, and obligations of agreements.
- Manage litigation processes, including summons review, risk identification, and attorney liaison.
- Ensure the contracts register is updated and maintained; prepare monthly legal reports and manage legal costs.
- Implement and maintain data protection policies aligned with POPIA/GDPR.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments and monitor data handling.
- Respond to data subject requests and manage privacy incidents.
- Train staff on privacy compliance and best practices.
- Ensure procurement processes comply with governance standards.
- Conduct supplier due diligence and risk assessments.
- Support ethical sourcing and procurement transparency.
- Provide ethical guidance to the board, senior management, and staff.
- Coordinate ethics risks & opportunity assessment.
- Ensure the ethics risk profile is converted into an ethics management strategy and plan.
- Ensure alignment and consistent application of ethics-related policies, procedures, and practices.
- Set up and manage an Ethics Committee in compliance with King IV.
- Actively manage ethics and related conflicts of interest within the organisation.
- Identify and report on unethical behaviour; develop and implement ethics awareness training programs.
- Coordinate ethics-related investigations and promote integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Enforce an effective whistleblowing platform accessible by staff, suppliers, and contractors.
Experience & Qualifications
- Matric essential.
- LLB Degree and admitted attorney.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in compliance, legal advisory, privacy, or procurement governance.
- Certifications in Compliance, Risk, or Privacy (e.g., CAMS, CFE, CIPP) are advantageous.
