A leading recruitment agency seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee project-based financials and ensure compliance with South African tax and financial legislation. The role involves managing a team and collaborating with stakeholders both locally and internationally. Candidates should have 5-8 years of experience in a full-function accounting role and strong knowledge of South African financial legislation. Excellent analytical skills and hands-on experience with ERP systems are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 to 8 years experience in a full-function accounting role.
• Industry experience in Construction Engineering or Heavy Industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of South African financial legislation and tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting function including General Ledger, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance and Profit & Loss.
• Manage project accounting: project costing, billing, WIP, revenue recognition.
• Ensure tax compliance: VAT, Income Tax, PAYE SARS submissions.
