Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in Container Orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Join an exciting and dynamic team of Integration Platform Engineers (DevSecOps engineering), who are responsible for shaping the technical API economy for the bank.
• Work within the Platforms and Engineering Gateway technology tribe responsible for the engineering of the Integration (API, AI, MCP) Gateway platforms. Platform landscapes include physical IBM Datapower appliances, IBM API Connect on vmware, Kong Connect and Mulesoft Gateways on Kubernetes (AWS and on-premise). Leverage your programming skills, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices to design and deploy efficient, scalable, and secure solutions

Key accountabilities: (What you’ll get to do)

• Platform engineering on Integration platforms eg. Datapower and API Connect, Mulesoft, Kong
• Must have worked with these products in an Operational role providing 24*7 after hours support covering Availability, Performance, Reliability, Recoverability, Serviceability, Manageability, Security, Scalability aspects of the Integration Platform

Role/Person specification: (What do you need to get in?)

• +3 years’ experience with Datapower Gateway Mulesoft Kong experience (admin, operational and engineering)
• +3 years’ experience with API Connect v10 experience (admin, operational and development)
• +3 years’ experience with coding / scripting languages experience e.g. Python, Bash scripting, JavaScript, Groovy, GoLang, XSLT
• +3 years’ experience in Container Orchestration using Kubernetes architecture, Networking, Security, Deployment, and Management
• +3 years’ experience on Linux
• +3 years’ experience on Cloud Computing eg. AWS
• +3 years’ experience with virtualization platforms eg. vmware
• +3 years’ experience with messaging protocols and API technologies eg SOAP and REST
• +3 years’ experience with Infrastructure as code (IaC) tooling eg. Jenkins, GITOPS, AWS CI/CD and AI tooling eg. Terraform, CloudFormation, CodeBuilder, CodeDeploy, AWS Bedrock)
• +3 years’ experience with analytics tools and Big Data Platforms eg. ElasticSearch, Kafka
• +3 years’ experience with Web Security protocols eg. OAuth, JWT, OIDC
• +3 years’ experience with Networking with a solid understanding of Network layer routing and security

Ideal Certifications:

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist CKS)
• AWS Associate level certifications
• DataPower Gateway and API Connect Associate level certifications
• Kong Gateway Certified Associate level certifications
• Mulesoft Certified Associate level certifications
