Responsibilities
- Project Structuring & Financing: Lead the development of sophisticated financial models and structures for large-scale projects, conducting comprehensive financial analysis to assess viability and returns.
- Structure and negotiate financing terms with a variety of financial institutions.
- Deal Execution: Oversee the preparation and presentation of compelling financial proposals to lenders and investors, negotiating key terms and conditions for various financing instruments.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and assess financial risks throughout project lifecycles, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and present insightful financial reports to senior management, monitor project financial performance against forecasts, and manage key relationships with financial institutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, partners, and regulatory bodies, acting as the primary finance liaison.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of project finance professionals, fostering their development and ensuring collaborative success.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- A BCom degree with a specialization in Project Finance.
- RE1 or RE3 certification.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project finance, investment banking, or a closely related field, with a demonstrated focus on infrastructure or capital-intensive projects.
- Exceptional financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of financial instruments, debt and equity structuring, and capital markets.
- Proven success in negotiating project financing deals, including loans, bonds, and other financing products.
- Familiarity with the legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape of project finance.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of market dynamics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- High level of financial acumen and robust risk management expertise.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
