Senior Interior Designer - Gauteng

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• This person should be able to collaborate seamlessly with clients, as well as other designers, architects, contractors, fabricators, artisans, and developers on multiple projects.
• Liaise with clients and third parties directly, including on-site visits / management
• Responsible for material sourcing and specification, custom furniture design, visual research, furniture sourcing, in addition to maintaining budgets and project timelines.
• Prepare and develop presentation, drawings, models, mood boards and other concept material
• Creating project documentation including the submission of a full drawing set, specification writing, schedules, and construction administration and consultant coordination.
• Keep abreast of design trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 - 5 years experience in interior design
• Relevant degree from an accredited school
• Experience of Renovation, Refurbishment and Restoration projects
• Experience in interior architectural design is advantageous as well as extensive decorating experience.
• Exceptional presentation skills
• Passion for design and an eye for detail
• Knowledge of the full design process including concept, schematic, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, procurement, and installation is preferred
• High proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Revit, SketchUp, 20 / 20 and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the company
