Job summary

A leading health and safety consulting firm is looking for an experienced HSE Officer in Klerksdorp, South Africa. This role focuses on implementing, monitoring, and maintaining health and safety systems, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. The ideal candidate will have substantial safety experience in high-risk construction or petrochemical environments, hold relevant qualifications such as a National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, and possess skills in conflict management and staff training. The position offers a fixed-term contract starting January 2026.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Coordinated with construction, QA/QC, and HR teams.
• Registered with SACPCMP as CHSO, CHSM, or CHSA.

Responsibilities

• Enforce SHEQ plans, policies, and procedures on site.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Compile and submit safety reports, including incident registers.
