Job summary

A well-established agricultural organization in the Addo / Kirkwood area is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee full HR functions, aligning people strategies with business objectives, and ensuring compliance with South African labour legislation. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years' HR management experience, strong knowledge of labour laws, and excellent leadership skills. This is a permanent, office-based position, requiring compliance expertise and the ability to manage operational pressures.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years’ HR management experience, preferably within agriculture, FMCG or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
  • Experience with Employment Equity reporting.
  • Payroll knowledge and HRIS system experience.
  • Advanced English proficiency is non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations and develop HR procedures aligned with strategy.
  • Oversee transactional HR functions, including payroll and HR administration.
  • Provide guidance and support to HR staff and management.
  • Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and talent management.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Manage remuneration structures and HR budgets.
  • Drive employee engagement and improve HR processes.
