Job summary

A leading personnel recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Group Accountant based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will report to the Group CFO and must possess a degree in Accounting or Financial Management, along with Sage Evolution experience. Key responsibilities include managing full accounting functions and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. A minimum of 3 years of post-articles experience in a group setting is required. This position offers a negotiable salary.

Qualifications

• Experience working with consolidations and intercompany transactions.
• Solid experience in accounting function up to monthly management accounts.

SA - Western Cape, Northern Suburbs Senior Group Accountant (reporting to Group CFO)

Position based in the Northern Suburbs - Western Cape Town

Salary - Negotiable

• Degree in Accounting or Financial Management
• SAICA or SAIPA articles completed
• Minimum of 3 years post-articles experience, with experience in multiple / group companies
• Sage Evolution experience (essential), specifically working with Projects
• Experience working with groups of companies (consolidations, intercompany transactions, group reporting)
• Business banking experience – including capturing and releasing payments
• Knowledge of CIPC submissions and SARS statutory compliance & returns (VAT, EMP, Income Tax)
• Solid experience in full accounting function up to monthly management accounts and annual financial reporting
