The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Energy Design Engineer to join our multi‑disciplinary Energy team in the Johannesburg or Cape Town office, South Africa.

The role focuses on leading internal teams in PV, wind, battery storage, green hydrogen, energy transition and mini / micro‑grid projects, with an emphasis on grid connections, large‑project context and financial acumen for project finance.

Is this role right for you?

• Degree: B.Eng. or BSc in Electrical Engineering, preferably with further qualification in renewable energy and professional registration with ECSA.
• Recognised knowledge in the energy sector with specific exposure to renewable energy and decarbonisation.
• Project Management experience delivering technical advisory, owner's engineering and design services in the renewable energy sector.
• Experience preparing and delivering bids, proposals, technical reports and presentations, and reviewing the same.
• Capability to prepare proposals such as Due Diligence, Technical Advisory services, Owner's Engineering, Lender's Technical Advisory and other offerings.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and providing technical and commercial guidance.
