Job Overview

Opportunity for Senior Electrical Engineer Reference : JHB MJS-2Our customer is a multi-disciplinary engineering solution provider serving the air pollution, energy, metallurgical, manufacturing, chemical, and infrastructure industries.

The company is currently active with projects in South Africa, Europe, South America, Asia, and the Middle East. The Senior Electrical Engineer leads the electrical team and large electrical projects, develops complex concept designs, and supervises the detailed design and execution thereof.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff and costs of the electrical team.
• Supervise, train and develop staff members as necessary.
• Develop complex engineering solutions and associated deliverables.
• Manage larger projects.
• Maintain and improve engineering standards.
• Verify detailed design calculations.
• Assist junior staff in obtaining their professional registration.
• Provide accurate and realistic task or deliverable estimations.
• Oversee project production efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Liaise with customers, engineers or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects.
• Assist with quality assurance and control of electrical deliverables, equipment, and installations.
• Comply with ITP and QCP documentation for internal and external use.
• Assist in sales efforts from a technical perspective.
• Provide inputs for the preparation of tenders.
