This position is office-based with travel, offering a salary of R90,000 - R110,000 CTC per month.

Overview

You'll lead sales growth, build strategic partnerships, and play a key role in navigating the regulatory landscape.
Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, this role is crucial to the success of the business and requires a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • 5 or more years in business development or partnerships within fintech/ BaaS
  • Business-related tertiary qualification preferred
  • Previous B2B and B2C experience
  • Strong network in the South African financial services and fintech sectors
  • Skilled in negotiation, deal-making, and stakeholder engagement
  • Deep understanding of payments, BaaS, card issuing, and relevant regulations
  • Self-starter with resilience and drive to thrive in a start-up environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and close strategic co-brand and B2B partnerships
  • Source and manage provider relationships (banks, processors, infrastructure)
  • Drive sales for POS devices into the informal sectors
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulators (SARB, PASA)
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead to close
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product, and engineering
  • Identify new markets and expansion opportunities
