MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with completed Articles
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar financial accounting role
• Previous experience in the freight forwarding or logistics sector is highly advantageous
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax laws
• Proficient in SAP

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packs to Head Office
• Preparation for Annual Financial Statement
• Monitor and report on cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
• Process VAT, income tax, and other statutory returns in compliance with SARS regulations
• Manage fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
• Liaise with Banks, Auditors, and regulatory bodies as needed
• Perform cost analysis related to freight and logistics operations to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
• Assist with implementation and improvement of financial systems and internal controls
