Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Johannesburg seeks a Semi-skilled Boilermaker to work in the fabrication of trucks and trailers. Responsibilities include liaising with production teams and operating heavy machinery. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, can read engineering drawings, and has good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Semi-skilled Boilermaker.
• Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
• Must have trailer or truck building experience.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Work in manufacturing of trucks and trailer environment
• Liaising with Production teams
• Participation in the fabrication of metal components including welding, cutting and shaping
• Usage of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and heavy machinery
• General tasks in department
• Adherence to safety protocols and regulations, including PPE
• Cleaning pressure vessel equipment

• Matric
• Semi-skilled Boilermaker experience
• Must have trailer or truck building experience
• Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings
• Own transport
• Able to work long hours and under pressure
• High energy levels and self-motivated
• Able to follow instructions
• Reliable transport
• Good communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Semi - skilled boilermaker.
